In 2020 we felt a nostalgia for years past – for a sense of normalcy as we came together in small groups to celebrate a subdued holiday season. As the pace of life quickened in 2021 and we returned to our normal routines – long commutes to work, shuttling kids back and forth to after school activities, and the other responsibilities of every day life, it was surprising how easy it was to feel rushed, to lose sight of all we have to be thankful and grateful for. So here we are, back to crisper weather, the colorful leaves falling from the trees, and Thanksgiving just days away. Let’s all take a moment reflect and to give thanks, grateful for being able to travel to visit family or gather in joyous groups around our dining room tables, laughing and reminiscing, and just enjoying life.
At Whitridge, we have so much to be thankful for. We’re thankful to see the faces of our coworkers every day, working hard to find dream jobs for our consultants and to find the missing piece of the team for our busy clients. We’re thankful for acts of kindness, like one of our amazing consultants surprising our sales and recruiting team with lunch at the office. It brought smiles to everyone’s faces on what would have been an ordinary day. We’re thankful for another successful year that allowed us to donate 100 gift cards for Thanksgiving meals to our community so everyone has a chance to celebrate this holiday season.
As you visit with loved ones this Thanksgiving and the holiday season beyond, we leave you with a small assignment – go around the table and ask each person to say three things they are thankful for this year. You’ll be surprised, when you take a moment to reflect, you’ll realize you have far more than three things to be thankful for, and that is something to celebrate.
From the Whitridge Team to yours, Happy Thanksgiving.
