THE ROLE:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an enterprise systems environment
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with enterprise patching tool such as BigFix
- Proven experience as a windows systems administrator
- Familiarity with common data center technologies such as VMware, storage, and backup technologies
- Proven ability to automate with PowerShell and/or Ansible is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent project management focus to meet required timelines
- Good problem-solving skills, enthusiastic work approach and self-motivated
- Ability to work within predefined guidelines pertaining to change control and compliance requirements
- Ability to work as part of a team and with others in all levels of the organization
The person who secures this role will:
- Establish standards, methodologies, and schedules for patching/upgrading infrastructure, including hardware and software for server and storage technologies
- Establish reliable and repeatable patching processes for Microsoft Windows Server environment using BigFix
- Provide accurate reporting and status of patching efforts per maintenance event
- Participate in bi-monthly patch cycles for windows servers across multiple maintenance events for dev, uat, and production systems
- Collaborate closely with InfoSec teams to identify and respond to critical vulnerabilities in our environment
