THE ROLE:

The ideal candidate will possess: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an enterprise systems environment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with enterprise patching tool such as BigFix
  • Proven experience as a windows systems administrator
  • Familiarity with common data center technologies such as VMware, storage, and backup technologies
  • Proven ability to automate with PowerShell and/or Ansible is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent project management focus to meet required timelines
  • Good problem-solving skills, enthusiastic work approach and self-motivated
  • Ability to work within predefined guidelines pertaining to change control and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work as part of a team and with others in all levels of the organization

The person who secures this role will:

  • Establish standards, methodologies, and schedules for patching/upgrading infrastructure, including hardware and software for server and storage technologies
  • Establish reliable and repeatable patching processes for Microsoft Windows Server environment using BigFix
  • Provide accurate reporting and status of patching efforts per maintenance event
  • Participate in bi-monthly patch cycles for windows servers across multiple maintenance events for dev, uat, and production systems
  • Collaborate closely with InfoSec teams to identify and respond to critical vulnerabilities in our environment
