THE ROLE:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in the financial services industry
  • Minimum of 6 years of derivative accounting experience
  • Experience with Calypso, Murex or another subledger system
  • Prior exposure to investment accounting, subsidiary ledger processing and related investment matters
  • Experience with internal controls
  • Knowledge of STAT and GAAP accounting
  • Ability to partner with other disciplines as part of the user acceptance testing
  • Experience using investment data and information to analyze and communicate testing results and implications on investment accounting and reporting
  • Understanding of Software Delivery Lifecycle
  • Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and be a self-starter, solution seeker
  • Must be extremely resourceful and enthusiastic
  • Display a capacity to learn quickly and respond well to changes and opportunities
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess strong ability in dealing with ambiguity
  • Authorize to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future

The person who secures this role will:

  • Execute consistent testing methodology and approach for investment accounting and reporting (includes completion of test plan, testing templates, creating/updating processes, and procedures, providing input to demand management, and developing appropriate testing metrics)
  • Manage day-to-day testing activities for investments accounting and reporting output (includes participating in team meetings, support overall timelines, understanding project/testing dependencies, etc.
  • Provide additional automation experience, and support for testing tool
  • Maintain high levels of quality of the testing support required
  • Participate and present in stakeholder and management calls to provide status updates
  • Partner with the Investment Lead to identify the scope of the testing required for investment accounting and reporting
  • Identify the testing effort required for a given test cycle
