Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Technology, or related field
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; Limited travel may be required
Exposure to delivery and management of projects
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word and Excel
Knowledge and exposure to PowerPoint and Outlook
Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures
Working towards PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent beneficial
Minimum of 1 year experience to IT project planning and management
Experience with the full project lifecycle
Proven knowledge of structured project management methodologies
Experience with recognized application development methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative and Agile preferred
Experience with varying application development tools such as JIRA, TFS, SQL Query Analyzer as well as project management tools including MS Project, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
Excellent facilitation, verbal, and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to all functional groups
Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
Ability to communicate with core project team as well as leverage PMO team for best practices
Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion with the ability to understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
Skilled at making educated decisions on how to manage tasks with the team, with some supervision as needed
Ability to exercise sound judgment to meet deadlines and prioritize projects and tasks
Ability to work with minimum supervision, but, when necessary, consult with either PMO leadership or project/program stakeholders for direction and/or clarity
The person who secures this role will:
Work in tandem with Program Managers, Portfolio Managers or the PMO Director to perform project management duties in support of the completion of projects
Participate during all phases of the project management process and run smaller projects
Schedule and conduct project meetings, communicate assignments, and expectations to project team members
Track completion of project deliverables to ensure the quality and integrity of all project-related products
Manage projects of 1-3 months in duration
Maintain and monitor project plans, project resources, and budgets
Organize and attend stakeholder meetings
Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings as well as document and follow-up on important actions and decisions from meetings
